The mission of Saint Pius Parish is to develop and nurture a faith
filled, prayerful, generous and caring community rooted in the testimony
of the gospel and the tradition of our faith.
This mission is:
- A sacramental mission which celebrates the action of God in
our lives through the liturgical and sacramental life of the church
- An evangelical mission which seeks to proclaim the Word of God
in its fullness within the parish community, the community at
large, and those individuals that represent our community's rich
diversity
- A prayerful mission which helps every member of our parish to
develop a strong and deep personal relationship with our God
- A teaching mission which seeks to convey and make alive the
teachings of our faith about God, God's action in the world, the
nature of the Church, and the challenge of the Christian moral
life
- A mission of justice which seeks to build up a community aware
of the social dimensions of the Gospel message and dedicated to
caring for the poor, oppressed, and marginalized in our society
- A catholic mission which seeks to form a community serving the
spiritual and personal needs of the aged, youth, families, widows,
widowers, those who are in crisis, and single men and women
- A mission of development and maintenance of a strong sense of
stewardship of the material & spiritual resources entrusted to
us as God's people
- A mission to support and encourage religious vocations
Our vision of St. Pius Church is to be a Catholic center for ministries
to people of all ages, sexes, and races in areas including liturgy,
faith journey, personal and spiritual nourishment, cultural experiences,
service work, and group fellowship. We hope to build and maintain
a community of faith that will be sustained by the hope that comes
from the unswerving love and support of our God, and by the true
generosity of spirit which has always marked the life of our people
and of our parish.
