A social club for the senior citizens
of the parish.
Join us for monthly trips to various
locations including Reno, Tahoe and Monterey!!
The Senior adult group began many years ago at St. Pius with the
purpose of having a place for seniors to meet on a regular basis
for a social gathering. This has become a very popular place for
seniors to meet to socialize with new and old friends. Activities
include bingo, guest speakers and trips to various locations like
Reno, Tahoe, and the Jackson Casino. The seniors participate
in the annual Parish Festival by sponsoring the Friendship Booth.
Meetings are held every Friday in the
Senior Room located in Homer Crouse Hall. Meetings begin
at 10:00 and include lunch. Mass is celebrated on the second Friday
of the month. Once a month the group travels to the Red Morton senior
center for lunch.
During the school year each grade from St. Pius School provide
lunch once a month. In addition to serving the lunch the students
meet the seniors and provide entertainment.
